Magic manifested itself last Saturday as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle held their royal wedding ceremony. It was hard to miss the extravaganza with the thousands of roaring fans outside of the castle and millions more cheering from their homes. The royal wedding was certainly a sight to be seen. However, some viewers weren’t tuning in for the people, some were tuning in for what the people drove. That’s right: the royal cars.

The royal wedding is a showcase of classy and extravagant influencers becoming joined under a sanctimonious royal ceremony. What people often forget is it’s also a showcase of the regal rides they arrive in. Get the tea and crumpets ready, because we’re breaking down the automobiles from last Saturday’s royal wedding. This list might inspire you drive something fancy to your future wedding.

Jaguar E-Type Concept Zero

For the Jaguar E-Type Concept Zero, there was no escaping the ravishing looks. It’s sleek and simple design caught the attention of obsessed car fans everywhere. This artisanal automobile was juxtaposed with the sophisticated style of the castle and the surrounding grassy knolls. It looked like a scene from a car commercial for billionaires.

The Jaguar was also engineered to be fully electric. While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were driving their royal victory lap, they were also being eco-friendly. From its brilliant design and breathtaking appearance, the E-Type undoubtedly has it all. Oh – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle looked great, too.

Bentley State Limousine Car

Batman has the al, Wonder Woman has the invisible jet, and the Queen of England has her Bentley State Limousine. Just like every crime fighting superhero, the Queen has a preferred mode of transportation. Her signature ride made its expected appearance at the Royal Wedding harboring the Queen herself. Some think the car is what the Queen is drawn to, but really, it’s her driver, because he took the best online defensive driving course NY could offer.

This version of the Bentley State Limousine was given a biofuel engine. While they’re driving historic vehicles, the royal family still finds a way to be eco-friendly. They should refer to this car as the Bentley State Limou-green.

2018 Black Discovery Land Rover

Seen for a split second in the footage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle driving their Jaguar into the distance, a clandestine guest lay waiting on the side of the road. That’s right, we didn’t forget about you, 2018 Black Discovery Land Rover.

It’s dark, serious tone was a compliment to the wedding by not overshadowing the attention of the royal cars. But, it’s 7-passenger seating, V6 engine, and contemporary design couldn’t escape our gaze.

1950 Rolls Royce Royal Phantom IV

Meghan Markle and her mother were driven to the wedding in a 1950 Rolls Royce Royal Phantom IV. Dawned with glistening shine and sophisticated dark color (like an actual phantom), the vehicle was a spectacle for car enthusiasts. The Royal Phantom is a glorious piece of automotive history designed specifically for royalty, hence the name. It’s called the Phantom because it’s haunted by previous Kings and Queens of England.

Carriage Pulled by a Horse

Do our eyes deceive us or is that the most primitive model of automobile designs: the carriage pulled by a horse? After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle married, they took a ride around the castle waving to their faithful fans inside a carriage pulled by a horse. The horse-drawn carriage is a car for people who live in the 1700’s, and who want to feel like the most important person in the world.

NFL draft what cars do the new quarterbacks drive
At the end of April comes one of the most anticipated events of the year: the NFL draft picks. As one of the most unforgettable season picks in recent history, we’re sure you’re asking yourself what car do the NFL quarterback drafts drive. That’s why we’ve conducted extensive research to answer this question. (Editor’s Note: these are NOT the actual cars the athletes drive).

Sam Darnold

The USC quarterback now turned New York Jets can drive only one car. That is the 2018 Toyota Prius Eco. As the #1 draft pick, of course he would choose the #1 fuel-economy car.

Josh Allen

Josh Allen is no stranger to enrolling in traffic school online. Therefore, as the Buffalo Bills’ new quarterback, he drives a blue Kia Forte, which is a top safety pick for defensive drivers.

Baker Mayfield

The Cleveland Browns chose Baker Mayfield as their new quarterback member. It may be because of his career statistics, but it also could be because of his brown Chevy Bolt.

Josh Rosen

The next quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals is Josh Rosen, who will be arriving to his games in his 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser. The best car to beat the desert climate.

Lamar Jackson

From cardinals to ravens, Lamar Jackson is the new Baltimore quarterback. Similarly, the 2018 Toyota Corolla iM is the newest hatchback, which is what Jackson drives.

Mason Rudolph

Rudolph will now be playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Also, a major stealer is the great deal Rudolph got on his new Hyundai Elantra.

Luke Falk

Falk was an obvious choice for the Tennessee Titans, but the Toyota 4Runner was an obvious choice for Falk. With 1st, 2nd, and 3rd row seating, who would pass this pick?

Kyle Lauletta

Giants fans are rejoicing with the choice of Kyle Lauletta. Also rejoicing is Lauletta in his fuel-efficient GMC Canyon compact pickup truck.

Chase Litton

Litton was chosen by the Kansas City Chiefs as their new quarterback. The Honda Accord is known as the Chiefs of all cars, which is what Litton drives.

Mike White

The Cowboys picked up Mike White as their new quarterback. What’s also white is the cargo van that Mike drives around town.

Nic Shimonek

The Los Angeles Chargers are bringing Shimonek onto their team. Which means, Shimonek’s Ford Focus will be right at home in the city with it’s great fuel range.

Tanner Lee

Tanner Lee is creating a bit of spur when he was picked by the Jaguars. We can only assume the buzz has to do with his 2017 Ford Mustang Convertible.

Kurt Benkert

Falcons received Benkert from the draft, which means they also get to see him arrive to practice in his Chrysler Pacifica minivan.

Logan Woodside

Woodside will be playing with the Bengals. This is probably why he was seen placing their logo on the side of his Honda Civic.

Danny Etling

Etling signed to play with the Patriots this season. This may be because of his amazing college track record, but it could have something to do with the fact he drives a 2017 Jeep Patriot.

Alex McGough

Finally, McGough will be playing for the Seahawks come this season. That’s why McGough invested in a rain-resistant Lexus RX 450h to survive the Seattle weather.

The newest Avengers movie came out this past weekend and crushed several records of ticket sales. Don’t worry! There are no spoilers in this post, at least not for the newest movie. However, any Marvel movie up through Black Panther is fair game. Today we’ll look at some of the characters to see who should be allowed behind the wheel. Of course, they are frequently saving the world, so we can be a little more forgiving over who loses the battle for best driver.

Stephen Strange (AKA Doctor Strange)

Near the beginning of Doctor Strange, the title character is in a car accident. That accident is so catastrophic that he needed to learn magic powers to put his life back together. Doctor Strange may be a brilliant surgeon, but he is not a brilliant driver. Leading up to the accident, he was illegally passing other drivers in a very unsafe way. He was also looking at some X-rays while illegally passing another vehicle on a curving mountain road. When it comes to manipulating time to save the world, no one is better than Doctor Strange. Just don’t ever let him drive, unless he has passed a NYS defensive driving course.

Driving Grade: F-

Bucky Barnes (AKA the Winter Soldier)

The Winter Soldier causes a lot of chaos and destruction with near moving vehicles. To cause that much chaos, he needs to know how cars work, so he can quickly and efficiently destroy them. In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, he goes through the roof of Sam’s car to rip off the steering wheel. That seems like the best way to cripple a car, assuming you’ve got the metal arm necessary to pull it off. In Captain America: Civil War, we see him run a car off the road while riding his motorcycle. A motorcycle is at much more risk in a collision, but the Winter Soldier walks away unscathed after completing his mission. Bucky retains those skills even when his mind is his own. After all, who can forget his epic motorcycle theft in Civil War?

Driving Grade: D+

Tony Stark (AKA Iron Man)

Tony Stark has more money than anyone needs, so naturally, he has a ton of cars. At heart, Tony is a person who loves to tinker. That means he likely knows all of the ins and outs of all of his vehicles. He has even driven a race car, though briefly, before the race was interrupted by Whiplash. Unfortunately, cars do not seem to have a long lifespan around Tony. Maybe that’s why he frequently chooses to ride in the back. Cars with Tony Stark as a passenger tend to fare a little better than when he drives.

Driving Grade: B

Shuri

Shuri may barely be old enough to drive, but to call her a quick learner would be a vast understatement. She may be the smartest person in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Many people are actually looking forward to Infinity War just to see her crush everyone else with her intellect. In Black Panther, we saw her controlling T’Challa’s car from her holographic interface in Wakanda. She’s so smart she doesn’t even need a physical car to be the best driver on the road.

Driving Grade: A

Natasha Romanoff (AKA Black Widow)

We have seen Natasha control all sorts of vehicles at this point. To name a few, she was piloting a quinjet in The Avengers. We saw her driving a very nice Corvette in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Finally, she spent some time riding a motorcycle in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Given Natasha’s training, she probably knows everything there is to know about each of those vehicles. That very definitely includes how to drive each safely. On the occasions where she does get into an accident, it’s not due to her lack of skill. (See, for example, the steering wheel problem listed under #4 of this list.) All in all, she’s the best driver in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Driving Grade: A+

tv shows defensive driving online
Given how many people use public transportation on a daily basis, the whole system is oddly absent from television. Even tv shows that take place in New York, a city that has more or less perfected public transportation and the best defensive driving courses online, seem to show all the characters taking cabs everywhere, while those characters complain about how tight money has been lately. However, there are some standout shows that shine a spotlight on public transportation, even if only occasionally.

5. How I Met Your Mother (Season 6, Episode 4: “Subway Wars”)

How I Met Your Mother is one show that is very guilty of having characters that don’t make enough money to be living their lives. The disparity between their jobs and the cash they spend isn’t quite as outlandish as the show’s spiritual predecessor, Friends, but still, the characters of HIMYM often ride in a taxi and sometimes even a limo. While it is almost always driven by their friend Ranjit, that doesn’t entirely explain away the cost, as Ranjit needs to make money too.

But there is one episode which deals with public transportation in a fun and lighthearted way, while highlighting the many options New Yorkers have to get where they’re going. In the season 6 episode “Subway Wars,” the five main characters argue the best way to get downtown the fastest and decide to make a race of it. What follows is a mad dash through the city via bus, subway, taxi, and even pedicab, including a very accurate joke about how hard it is to understand subway conductors.

4. Grey’s Anatomy

Grey’s Anatomy has changed a lot since it started so many years ago, but one of the things that held the show together in early seasons was the relationship between the main character, Meredith Grey, and the love of her life, Derek Shepherd, also known as Dr. McDreamy. One of the first things we learn about Derek, aside from his being ridiculously charming, is that he has “a thing for ferry boats.” We see him and other characters riding the ferry occasionally in the early seasons, though the season 3 episodes involving a horrifying ferry boat crash mostly put a stop to that. Still, even after that, Derek frequently wore his ferry boat scrub cap, and when he was considering selling his land in season 4, another character pointed out, “This land and ferry boats are who you are!”

3. The Good Place

The Good Place is one of our favorite tv shows about a woman named Eleanor who dies and wakes up somewhere the neighborhood’s architect will only refer to as, you guessed it, “the Good Place.” Eleanor is self-aware enough, however, to quickly realize she probably doesn’t belong in a Good Place and should instead be in either the Bad Place or maybe even the Medium Place. She discovers that the only way to get to those other places, or to any other neighborhood in the afterlife, is to use The Trans-Eternal Railway, also known as The Train. The Train looks like an old steam train, and the show has many enjoyable moments on The Train, or in a new place after riding The Train. It makes one long for the trains of old, instead of the more efficient but less stylish trains we have today.

2. The Magic School Bus

This might be a stretch, but The Magic School Bus paints public transportation in a light that no other show ever has. The animated series ran for four seasons in the mid-90s, and it featured a teacher named Ms. Frizzle, her class of third graders, and a bus capable of flying, shrinking, expanding, and traveling to places no other bus has ever gone. In each episode, the bus took the students somewhere new and educational, allowing the fictional students and the children watching the show to learn something new, usually about science. The most anyone can expect to learn on most bus rides is how to spot the crazy person.

1. The Netflix Marvel Shows

In addition to the superhero blockbusters Marvel presents us with two or three times a year, Netflix has grown the brand even further with its series of shows about street-level heroes in New York City. The individual shows, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, eventually came together in a team-up series called The Defenders, before each character returned to his or her own show, though crossovers between the shows are still frequent. Many of these shows take some joy in displaying the moments of downtime the heroes have in between fighting the bad guys and saving the city.

The characters ride the subway enough to let viewers know it’s their preferred mode of transportation, and one entertaining moment of The Defenders even featured Jessica Jones, in a bad mood, stealing a beer from a sleeping homeless man. If that’s not representative of the New York subway, I don’t know what is.

If you happened to be watching T.V. last Sunday, you may have caught one of the most popular events of the year. The 2018 Oscars reeled in last year’s most noteworthy films for one night of celebration. Now that everyone can stop guessing who will win which Oscar, the real guessing can begin. What do the Oscar winners drive?

Most people think the Oscars end when celebrities win their awards. Unsuspecting to them, that’s when real speculation begins. We know who won the Oscars, but what we don’t know is what the Oscar winners drive! You know that Myimprov.com is obsessed with cars. Our version of the Oscars is when we discover what car people drive.

Frances McDormand

Best Actress Oscar winner, Frances McDormand, clearly drives a Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Her acting career is built just like the car she drives, classy and durable. If her powerful performance in Three Billboards was of any indication, McDormand would drive the car equivalent of a giant box.

Gary Oldman

Known for his roles in True Romance and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, you may have seen Gary Oldman in his most recent film, The Darkest Hour, reprising his Oscar winning role for Best Actor. Therefore, he would drive a 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan. The idea of Gary Oldman driving a 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan might seem preposterous. But, Gary Oldman only drives the latest and greatest minivans.

Guillermo del Toro

Guillermo del Toro deserved his title of Oscar winner for Best Director. He directed the film The Shape of Water, which told the captivating love story between a woman and sea creature. That’s why we speculate Guillermo del Toro drives a 2018 Honda CRV. With spacious room, compact design, and 28 miles per gallon in the city, there’s no reason why Guillermo del Toro wouldn’t drive a red 2018 Honda CRV.

Jordan Peele

One of the most praised films of 2017 was Jordan Peele’s original screenplay, Get Out. That’s why he won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay last Sunday. Coincidentally, his victory and nominations solidified our theory that he drives a Chevrolet Express 2500 Cargo Van. He might need a lot of room to fit his Oscar trophy, so that’s why we would assume Jordan Peele drives a van used to ship large boxes.

Allison Janney

Oscar winner of Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film I, Tonya, Allison Janney is an inspiration to many. That’s why we believe Allison Janney would drive the most inspiring car of all, the 2018 Toyota Camry. With a combined 34 miles per gallon, front wheel drive, and compact – yet spacious – room, the Toyota Camry is the #2nd most popular sedan, but the most inspirational sedan.

Sam Rockwell

Sam Rockwell won Best Supporting Actor for his role in Three Billboards. With a performance like none other in his category, Rockwell would obviously drive a car like none other: the Honda Fit. The Fit is a hatchback that is roomy and versatile to meet the needs of the driver – just like Sam Rockwell.

One thing that makes these Oscar winners stand-out among other celebrity drivers is they all completed the best defensive driving courses online NY has to offer. They know that getting a traffic citation could end their acting career and their good driver career. But, they won’t sweat when paying their car insurance. The reason being, taking a defensive driving course keeps your annual insurance rate from increasing when you receive a traffic citation.

For us, choosing the next Oscar winner is challenging. The real joy in finding out who wins an Oscar is speculating the car they drive.

Roadkill is an automotive restoration television show that transforms trashed up beaters into modified road demons. What we love most about this show is creating something so beautiful out of nothing. Coincidentally, it’s the perfect metaphor we see in our students who enroll in our traffic school online.

The projects seen on the show vary from downright challenging to goofy and absurdly fun. But, don’t you think it’s odd that every project ends on a positive note? It seems almost suspicious. That’s why we’ve done some investigative journalism to pull back the curtains on this popular T.V show. We’re diving deep to discover what really happens to the cars on Roadkill.

The Ranchero

This 1968 Ford Ranchero restoration was a very familiar project for fans of the show. This car’s “notable achievement” was its long journey from Alaska to Los Angeles. But, if you ask us – they might as well call it the 1968 Ford Mentiroso (Spanish for liar.)

But, after doing some research and questioning, we concluded that David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan did, in fact, conduct heavy restoration to the original vehicle. That’s not stopping us from diving deeper!

Big Pen

Do you really expect us to believe that they took a broken down 1950 GMC Pick-Up Truck and drove it off the lot, where it sat for 30 years? Likely story, Roadkill. Instead of calling the show Roadkill, they should rename it to Road Fibbers, because that’s all they do to the viewers.

However, again, after a careful examination of the research, we discovered they were able to the beater running. Something still smells off, so the sting story continues!

The General Mayhem

Here is a prime example of what really happens on Roadkill. Freiburger and Finnegan just so happened to be sitting on a ‘68 Dodge Charger, which, was essentially, three pieces of scrap metal attached to wheels. Then, they somehow put a transmission in from a literal motorhome. Supposedly they created it over 6 months – the perfect amount of time to get a brand-new car delivered.

Editor note: after rereading the notes taken during several credible interviews, we have concluded this car was actually restored on the show.

The Blasphemi

Come on, really? Do they honestly think viewers will believe the hosts brought the bare body of a ‘55 Chevy Bel Air Sedan to a shop and had it restored with a 530ci Mopar Performance Hemi? That idea is – ahem – blasphemy!

Seriously? They did that? That’s so cool! I mean – the search continues to find the real answers.

The Rotsun

Finally – the truth you’ve all been waiting for! They were given a 1971 Datsun 240Z that was rustier than your little league throwing arm. It was a valiant attempt, but after doing some hard-hitting research we discovered what really happened. After they successfully rebuilt the car to near perfect operating condition, the engine gave out when the hosts drove back from Arizona “after filming.”

There you have it. Nearly all the cars they built on Roadkill continue to work. You can clearly see this is another example of Hollywood Reality TV elites us feeding us fabricated lies.

If you’re ever conducting your own car restoration, and get a ticket for violating a traffic law, you should enroll in traffic school online. It’s the easier way to keep your insurance rate from skyrocketing for being a reckless driver. But, you’ll never be as reckless as the hosts from Roadkill.

You may recognize the title Jay Leno’s Garage as the popularized television show starring ex-Tonight Show host Jay Leno. Known as a car fanatic, Mr. Leno has a prime collection of automobiles, motorcycles, and other motorized vehicles. This show is all about cars and the car enthusiast.

However, there’s an issue.

As you know, the staff here at Myimprov.com love cars – really anything that has to do with driving. We would’ve loved to indulge in this type of CNBC sophisticated programming. It’s a funny host in a garage full of cars.

But there was something missing.

The show didn’t go deep enough. That’s why I took it upon myself to discover what cars ACTUALLY exist in Jay Leno’s Garage. After hours of meticulous planning, I devised the perfect covert operation to get the full scoop of Mr. Leno’s garage. Here are my findings:

1970 Mazda Cosmo

The idea was simple. I arrived at his house dressed as a representative from Mr. Leno’s “Yacht of the Month Club” membership program. I had to scope out his home to discover “the perfect place to drop off his monthly Yacht.”

It worked.

Bingo-bango, I found myself inside of his basement garage. Beholden at the sight of a limited edition 1970 Mazda Cosmo. Sleek in design, pure white like the Mr. Leno’s molar teeth, and – most importantly – fast. I took it for a spin in his underground racing track that he purchased with the residual checks from The Tonight Show.

Audi R8 Spyder

After my joy ride in the Cosmo, I made an appearance upstairs to maintain the charade of me representing the Yacht Club Committee. “It will be any moment now, Mr. Leno,” I told him. He nodded his head begrudgingly.

“Just place it in my 20-mile purchased territory of the Pacific Ocean with the other 20 yachts,” he mumbled as I went back downstairs to his garage. I ignored him. There were cars to explore.

The Audi R8 Spyder caught my eye. It’s known to be among the fastest cars in the world. The desire to sit behind its wheel caused me to salivate. The car was red like fury, compact like a bullet, and worth more than I could fathom. Therefore, I took it for a drive.

Blastolene Special

My fun came to a braking halt. Mr. Leno had wandered downstairs with his sailor’s hat and uniform ready to sail on his monthly yacht. The jig was up. He had to stop me, so he did the only thing he could think of in the moment.

He hopped in his Blastolene Special and raced after me. I was awestruck by the beauty of the industrial magnificence that was the Special. Equipped with a supercharged engine, this behemoth of muscle shot towards me at lightning speeds. I didn’t know what would happen if Mr. Leno caught me, but I wasn’t about to find out.

1930 Bentley G400

As I was being chased by a very upset Jay Leno, my car enthusiast eye caught a glimpse of a 1930’s Bentley G400. I jumped inside to escape his wrath. Starting the car ignited the WWII plane engine, which was placed inside, and pulsed 700-horsepower through the veins of Bentley’s inner workings.

I escaped Jay by blasting through his garage at lightning speeds. The adrenaline was pumping through my veins, but something was off — again. The lights of a traffic officer lit up in my rear-view mirror when I pulled onto the 405 North. I was going 20 miles over the speed limit and became a reckless driver.

The officer handed me a ticket for exceeding the speed limit, which will directly affect my annual insurance rates. So, now feels like a good time to let you know something important. When you enroll in traffic school, you can lower your annual insurance rates. This happens when insurance companies know you’re a safe driver.

I never saw Jay Leno after that night. But, a piece of me wonders if I should return his Bentley…

It seems like just about every hit movie has a signature car chase or a signature vehicle. From spy thrillers to racing flicks, action movies and beyond, cars play a prominent role in American cinema. Have you ever wondered what happened to those famous cars from the movies? Here’s where they are now.

The DeLorean From Back to the Future

The DeLorean was featured in all three versions of the epic time travel movie series, Back to the Future. The little-known truth is that more than half a dozen DeLorean vehicles were used in these films. Only three are still in existence. Two of the DeLoreans featured in the Back to the Future flicks are owned by Universal Studios. They are available for public viewing at the company’s four theme parks in Orlando, Los Angeles, Singapore and Osaka. The third DeLorean was auctioned to a nameless bidder who resides in San Jose, California. The vehicle sold for more than half a million dollars. One of the other four DeLoreans mysteriously disappeared. Two were stripped for parts. The last one was crushed into tiny pieces in a vehicle compactor.

Gone in 60 Seconds‘ Eleanor

If you felt like you should attend a defensive driving course after viewing Gone in 60 Seconds, you are not alone. The movie’s leading vehicle, Eleanor, sold for a million dollars at auction. Frequent car shows throughout the United States and you just might find Eleanor on display.

The Camaro From Better Off Dead

This sweet ride went to auction and was purchased by a fan off the classic ’80’s flick, “Better Off Dead.” The ’67 Camaro has since been restored to resemble its’ original condition. The vehicle was taken apart in-full so years of corrosion and damage could be rectified. It received some new primer, fresh black paint and a brand new engine. The Camaro still features the tinted windows it sported in the movie.

007’s Aston Martin DB5

Featured in Goldfinger and Thunderball, this Aston Martin DB5 is owned by an automobile collector who prefers to remain nameless. He owns the .2018/R version of the vehicle. The other version of the DB5 used in the classic Bond flicks, the 2017/R, is still available for public viewing at the Dutch National Motoring Museum.

The Ford GT40 Featured in Le Mans

Though millennials have absolutely no idea as to how sweet this GT40 looked in Le Mans, the old-timers out there will likely recall this ride. Three versions of the vehicle were built. Two still exist. The one used in the film sold for $11 million to an anonymous private car collector in the summer of 2012.

Batman the Movie‘s Batmobile

The Batmobile was actually a ’55 Lincoln Futura concept vehicle. Concept cars of the ’50s and ’60s were built solely for display purposes. Most were destructed after making the rounds on motor show tours. However, the Futura used in Batman the Movie escaped this cruel fate. It was originally used in the 1959 movie, “It Started With a Kiss.” The vehicle was sold to automobile enthusiast George Barris for a single dollar. He converted the Futura into the Batmobile for the popular TV show and the movie. The Batmobile sold for $4.6 million in 2013 to a wealthy businessman named Rick Champagne.

If you are curious about what happened to the Batmobiles from the other Batman movies in ’89 and ’92, we’ve tracked them down as well! Well, sort of. These versions of the Batmobiles were constructed with fiberglass and plywood. However, Warner Brothers made replicas to be displayed across the globe. Jeff Dunham, a famous ventriloquist, purchased one of these Batmobiles for a cool half-million in 2015. He invested another half-million to get the vehicle in road-condition. Dunham even refitted his Batmobile with all the high-tech features it had in the film.

For more than a century the New York Yankees have been considered one of the teams that baseball fans either love, or at least love to hate.
Related to this appreciation, or lack of, often is curiosity about particular players and what they do in their personal and professional lives – including what cars they like and how they get around.

Though a player’s choice of auto has absolutely nothing to do with their performance at bat or on defense, nevertheless people seem to like learning what type of car they own, out of simple curiosity. For those in the collector market, a car that someone bought or drove around in, can definitely up its value.
Here’s a list of favorite past Bronx Bombers and their time behind the wheel:

Babe Ruth

Probably the most famous Yankee ever still has people talking about some of his cars decades after his death. George Herman Ruth drove a variety of cars over the years but one particularly continues to grow great attention: a 1948 Lincoln Continental coupe he given to him right given to him a year before his death. The big-sized car painted Yankee blue was a big-sized gift from the Ford Motor Company to Ruth, who enjoyed driving around and visiting kids and giving inspirational speeches even a decade after his retirement.

Mickey Mantle

Speaking of loving or loving to hate was Mr. Mantle. The heavy hitter had an abrasive personality and made plenty of enemies. But he also earned some impressive statistics as a ball player. And he always seemed to have room in his heart for his 1949 Plymouth P-18 Special Deluxe. The convertible was powder blue and the top of the Plymouth line at the time.

Reggie Jackson

Not everyone knows that Mr. October continues to be a huge car fan, and has had an interest in collecting higher-end autos. He’s owned more than one Rolls-Royce Corniche, including a 1974 coupe he sold for $43,000 at an auction, and a 1977 Corniche convertible in Yankee blue and gray tones he picked up for about $64,000 to commemorate his role in helping the Yankees win the World Series victory that year.

The Yankees car

Along with one particular auto owned by one particular driver, the Yankees also had the interesting notoriety of owning their own car that was used for several seasons to drive players around during the games, including ferrying pitchers back and forth from the mound or other players to their bases or the outfield. Other teams also had ‘bullpen cars,’ that were usually nothing more than tricked-out golf carts, but the Yankee Stadium version, a 1972 Datsun that had pinstriping that resembled the team uniforms, was particularly memorable.

Joe DiMaggio

Joltin’ Joe was known for not just his accomplishments on the baseball diamond but his relationship with Marilyn Monroe. He also continued to enjoy cars all of his life – his final car, a 1991 Mercedes-Benz 420 SEL, was presented to him in 1991 at Yankee Stadium’s Old Timers Day, and the 50th anniversary of his 56-game hitting streak. It had the Yankees logo on the back, and was the last of this model to leave the assembly line.

If you’re interested in a certain car driven by a certain player, keep your eyes open. Many are in museums today, but actual ownership seems to change hands every few years. If you do get your hands on one make sure you’re careful, either not driving it all or taking a defensive driving course to keep it as safe as possible.

No matter how rich and famous you may be, nobody escapes the long arm of the law when it comes to DUI charges. Celebrities seem to get away with just about everything else, but judges love to bring the gavel down hard on actresses and singers who get behind the wheel when they can’t see straight. Here are six celebs who could definitely use a NYS defensive driving course. Did we forget your favorite? Let us know.

Jaime Pressly

NewJaime

Here’s what we love about this one: you almost wonder if this was some kind of publicity stunt to get another season of My Name Is Earl made. Pressly’s 2011 drunken joyride seems like exactly the kind of thing Joy Turner would get arrested for.

Mike Tyson

NewMike

Legal troubles are nothing new for Mike Tyson, which may explain why he’s sticking his tongue out and making faces in this mugshot. This is just another day on the job for Iron Mike, so why not have some fun with it? Well, either that or this is just the face Mike makes when he’s drunk. Who knows what the heck is going on with this guy, right?

Kiefer Sutherland

NewKiefer
In 2007, Kiefer Sutherland got hit with his second DUI charge and sentenced to a 48 day penalty. A defensive driving course NY schools offer could have gotten a few days off your sentence there, Jack Bauer. Sutherland has never been quite so far off the wagon as, say, a Robert Downey Jr., but his troubles with booze have been well-documented.

Shia LaBeouf

NewShia
The weird thing about this one: This is back when Shia was only 22. This is way, way before he became a freestyle rapper, or stole an independent comic book to use as a basis for his short film, or held a movie marathon of all his own films. This is back when Shia acted crazy in normal celebrity ways like reckless driving, rather than finding new, weird ways to confuse everyone.

Randy Travis

NewRandy

Randy Travis may not be associated with “outlaw” country music, but he’s got an impressive rap sheet. His 2012 DWI misdemeanor had felony retaliation thrown on top. That might explain the black eye and busted nose. He was found naked in a parked car outside of a church drinking a bottle of wine. According to the Texas State Troopers, Travis had crashed into a construction zone, threatened to kill the troopers, and walked into a convenience store totally naked demanding cigarettes. We can’t say we approve, but we can’t say we’re not impressed.

Amanda Bynes

NewAManda
Amanda Bynes makes the list for her 2012 DUI incident simply because she looks pretty calm for a girl who just sideswiped a cop car. Most of us would at least break a sweat, Bynes looks like they just messed up her order at McDonald’s but she doesn’t want to make a big deal out of it. If only we could all face the possibility serious prison time with nothing worse than mild disappointment.

Here’s something to remember: While DUI may be the one crime that celebrities seem to have a hard time getting away with, the penalties for us regular folk do tend to be a little steeper. Without the money to hire a top-notch legal team, without the social influence of showbiz success or the charm of movie-star good looks, we have to make sure that we play every card we do have. Whether that means taking defensive driving courses, or sneaking a file into the jailhouse inside of a cake, whatever you can do to lighten that sentence up a bit, the better.
