It is a fact that vehicles break down or other incidents may happen on the road causing your journey to come to a halt. If these events happen, remember to use one of the lessons learned from CA traffic school online, and use your AAA card. Fortunately, with AAA member services, you can be back on the road in no time. Here is why you should consider Triple AAA insurance for your roadside assistance needs.

24/7 Customer Service

AAA customer service is available around the clock to take care of your needs when on the road. Moreover, the company has fast response units; able to come to your rescue within a short time upon making a distress call. You are assured of assistance whenever you need it.

Get Assistance Wherever You Are

Triple A auto insurance has branches spread out across the country. If you have been wondering, ‘Is there a triple A near me? Then worry no more. You can access the roadside service wherever you are across the USA and Canada in no time. Enjoy peace of mind on the road knowing that someone has got your back covered.

In addition, you can use the Triple A service even if you are carpooling with a friend or family member. The triple A membership provides the benefits to members and not a given vehicle. It means that if you are with someone who has car problems; you can help them get roadside assistance with your card.

Towing assistance

Triple A towing offers to tow your vehicle when it is immobilized due to a mechanical, electrical failure or due to an accident. The vehicle is towed to the nearest garage for fixing. This saves you from spending lots of time on the road trying to fix a problem or waiting for a service center technician to fix your car. The service also guarantees your safety, which comes in extra handy if your vehicle breaks down near an unsafe location, woods or in foul weather. Triple A prioritizes calls made by people in dangerous and unsafe places to get them out of danger as soon as possible.

Prompt Service

All members should always have the AAA phone number with them when they are on the road. This enables them to call AAA swiftly when they run into problems on the road. There is always someone on the other side waiting to respond to their needs or answer their questions.

Enjoy Great Discounts with Your Card

In addition to roadside assistance, you can use your Triple A card to get discounts at selected retail centers, movie shops and gas stations among other areas. You can locate these AAA preferred partners by connecting to the AAA mobile app. You will just click to find a hotel near me or other service provider and you will get directions to the nearest service provider.

Keep Your Card with You Always

If you are asking, ‘Can I use AAA without my card?’ You cannot use the service without the card. However, if you have a friend traveling who has a card with him, he or she can ask for assistance using his or her number. Fortunately, you do not have to carry a physical card. There is a Triple A digital card that you can carry with your AAA app. It is easy to use and very convenient.
Consider enrolling for Triple A service as soon as you leave the traffic school. It will save you from wondering, ‘Is there road assistance near me?’ as you will get quality roadside assistance service wherever you are. As a member, you only need your card and Triple A phone number: 800-AAA-HELP (800-222-4357) and your road problems are sorted.

In today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world, travel is frequently made easier with the use of travel apps. While these apps vary greatly in usefulness, here are some reviews based on personal experience with some of the best.

Vegas.Com App

If you’re going to Las Vegas, this app is an absolute necessity. I’ve never seen any other tourist destination have an app, or even a website, that is so all-inclusive. Through the Vegas app, you can book your flight, hotel, and entertainment. But that’s not all. All of these come with huge discounts. The more you bundle your trip together, the more you can save. Deals vary day by day, but it’s a safe bet to assume you can get at least 20% off your hotel. Sometimes that discount can jump to 60% or more for certain hotels. Certain hotels offer discounts to shows or restaurants located within the hotel.

When buying tickets to shows, even without bundling, there are discounts on ticket prices, or sometimes extras, like tickets to a buffet or a free drink (for those aged 21 and up). I used the app myself some time ago, and here are the deals I got. I saved 25% by bundling my flight and hotel together and enjoyed a free trip to the hotel’s buffet. I saw the Cirque Du Soleil show I was interested in. Using the app, I got Category B tickets (lower orchestra) for Category D (balcony) prices. I’ll never go to Las Vegas without first using this app.

Hopper

Flights are expensive, and frequent travelers have picked up on a secret. The prices of flights fluctuate all the time, usually several times every day. Some people have exact formulas on the time to buy plane tickets, but it can’t be that exact, since it varies from one person to another. The one I’ve heard most is that it’s best to buy plane tickets for domestic flights roughly six weeks before the departure date, on a Tuesday, between 3:00 and 4:00 PM, local time. I’ve done that, and that method is far from flawless. However, new apps and websites have popped up that have allowed people to get the best deals possible. My personal favorite is Hopper.

Hopper asks you for your departure location and your destination, then it asks for your travel dates. It color codes the travel dates so you know right off the bat which dates will be cheapest. From there, it lets you know the cheapest fare available at the moment. From there, it also tells you if prices are likely to drop lower than that, and how low they’re likely to drop, including advising to either buy now or wait. It also tells you how much prices will increase and when. Best of all, you can set the app to notify you in the event of a sudden price drop, or to pester you to buy your tickets when the price is best.

HomeAway

HomeAway is an app that has saved my sanity. I imagine that’s not something many apps can claim. A few years ago, my family decided to have a reunion in Yosemite. While the actual event was in a hotel, we were required to drive up and find our own lodging. (Pro tip: for family reunions, it’s better to drive the “luggage car” alone than spend five hours driving with someone who desperately needs a defensive driving course NY.) Even searching a full year in advance, options were extremely limited.

One option was a heated tent (not an option with my 89-year-old grandmother).

The other option was two hotel rooms, each with two twin beds and restrooms down the hall. One would be for my parents, the other for my grandmother and me. Each of those rooms would cost $330 per night, so we would be paying $660 per night for four nights. That was not tolerable for me, so I searched elsewhere.

Enter HomeAway. A quick search through their system brought me dozens of options. People were renting out their vacation homes, and for our needs, these options were both infinitely better and much more affordable than the two tiny hotel rooms. Ultimately, the place we rented had three bedrooms, three bathrooms, parking, a kitchen, a pool table, and a hot tub. The price was $475 per night. In the end, HomeAway saved my sanity, $740, and possibly the lives of my immediate family. I’d give it five stars.

When it comes to the auto insurance industry, two math graduates are causing a disruption. Did you know that only about five percent of drivers have an auto insurance rate of less than $50 a month? Are you one of them? If not, there’s a good chance you could be! First, take a REALLY EASY online defensive driving course, then try using a car insurance app!

Seth Birnbaum and fellow MIT grad Tomas Revesz teamed up to develop an app for car insurance comparisons. You may have heard of it… EverQuote. The company is offering drivers a way to hopefully reduce their auto insurance premium. If you already have insurance and live in a certain ZIP code, you may even be able to get an even steeper discount.

For the longest time, it was quite difficult to compare rates among major auto insurance companies. To do so, you would have to go to a carrier’s website, type in your information, receive your quote and then go to a different carrier’s website and do the same thing. You would do this on several different sites and then compare your quotes.

As you can imagine, or maybe you even know from personal experience, this can get quite tedious and exhausting. The MIT team has made comparing insurance quotes much simpler. With EverQuote, all you do is type in your information one time and the app allows you to use its comparison shopping marketplace platform. Known for being one of the fastest growing companies in 2017, EverQuote has revolutionized the auto insurance industry by helping customers find incredibly low insurance quotes.
The importance of comparing insurance quotes should never underestimated. You can save hundreds, possibly thousands, of dollars each year by taking advantage of a lower insurance rate. You will quickly see if you are overpaying for car insurance or not with this app.

It is not uncommon for drivers to overpay for insurance and be completely unaware that they could be saving money. And while you may think you have locked in the cheapest rate a few months ago, you should always compare quotes at least once every six months. Yes, even if you already have cheap insurance, there is a chance you could get it for even cheaper. You can also take an NY defensive driving course to save on your NY car insurance or a California online traffic school for mature drivers.

To take full advantage of EverQuote, simply type in your ZIP code in the ZIP code checker on their website. Then enter a bit of your driver information and view various quotes from today’s major car insurance companies. It’s that simple.

The Takeaway

It’s time to take better control of your finances and it starts with saving money on your auto insurance. EverQuote will help you find the right insurance company and taking a defensive driving course or traffic school to dismiss tickets will help as well! If it’s been six months or longer since you have compared insurance quotes, now is the time to compare again!

how to kelly blue book

If you’re interested in buying or selling a new or used car or truck, you need to know about Kelley Blue Book. Also known as the KBB, it has been a trusted resource for vehicle trading since the company started in 1918. To ensure you get the correct valuation on a vehicle you’re buying or selling, here is a breakdown of how to use this powerful service.

What is Kelley Blue Book?

Kelley Blue Book is a resource tool for vehicle buyers and sellers. The term “blue book” has become a shorthand for Kelley Blue Book because the original book cover was printed in blue. If someone mentions the “blue book” value of a vehicle, they are referring to Kelley Blue Book. Today, the printed version with the classic blue cover is still available on newsstands. However, with the advances of the internet, users can access How to Use Kelly Blue Book online for the most up to date information.

Accessing Kelley Blue Book Online

Most vehicle buyers and sellers now access the data from Kelley Blue Book via their website. Once you visit the site, you can do several things. The first thing you should do is create an account. The account will enable you to see a history of your searches, and will help you keep track of vehicles you’re interested in. It will also enable you to compare different vehicles so you can make the best purchasing and selling decisions for you.

Searching for a New Car

If you are in the market for a new car, Kelley Blue Book should be your first stop. On the site, you can either search for your car’s specific make, model and year, or you can browse through a selection of current new vehicles for sale. The results will show you what the price of the vehicle is, so that you can ensure that any price you’re being offered from a dealer is fair and reasonable.

It’s important to note that the price you’ll pay to a dealer for a new car won’t necessarily be the same exact number you find on Kelley Blue Book. Dealers have costs and overhead expenses that vary from dealer to dealer and from state to state. But you can use Kelley Blue Book to get an average of the price you can be expected to find that specific vehicle.

Searching for a Used Car

Now, if you’re shopping for a used car, you can begin your search at Kelley Blue Book, too. Begin by choosing the style of vehicle you want. For example, you might want a sedan or a mini SUV. Then you can start to narrow down your options, until finally you’ll be presented with a selection of used vehicles for sale that match your wants. The prices given will show what that vehicle might cost if you buy it from a dealer, versus what it might cost if you buy it from a private owner. Remember that if you buy it from a dealer, you might pay a bit more, but you’ll also have benefits like a warranty and a final vehicle inspection. Also remember to take traffic school or a defensive driving course to update your driving record before you actually buy your car.

Selling Your Used Car

If you’re selling your own car, Kelley Blue Book can help you to decide on a fair price to sell your car. You’ll be able to input specifics like how many miles your car has on it, if it has air conditioning, and similar things. Once you’re finished inputting these details, you’ll have a general idea of how much you should price your car for, whether you’re selling to an individual, or looking to get a trade in from a dealer.

Kelley Blue Book allows vehicle buyers and sellers to look up their vehicle’s make, model and year to determine its monetary value in different circumstances. This is a valuable resource that will help you, whether you’re buying or selling a new or used vehicle.

sell car online ebay traffic school

Selling your car online can sometimes get a bad reputation, but there are ways to use it so you get the visibility and the price you want. The best part is that it can save you time, so selling your car doesn’t turn into a months-long headache. eBay is one of the most respectable (and safe) ways you can sell your car to a legitimate buyer. Listed below are some of the reasons why eBay is known as a front-runner in the Online Car Sales Arena.

A Little Expertise

Selling a car is going to be a lot of work no matter what, and likely not without its share of inconveniences. Those hassles are why people trade in their cars in the first place. But going through a dealer will likely only get you a fraction of what the car is worth, making it an easy but not a financially sound idea. eBay is not only trusted by buyers, but the fees are relatively inexpensive (or even free.) Basically, you’ll just need a few computer skills before you list, and you’ll be in business.

The Process

You’ll need to take lots of photos, and you’ll want to make sure your car cleans up well. Get it professionally detailed and don’t look back about the cost. Presentation matters more than ever today. You’ll need to register on eBay if you haven’t already, and then start gathering the information you’ll need. This not only includes the title and vehicle information (VIN, miles, etc.), but also the price your car normally sells for. Don’t just check KBB.com though, look for similar cars on eBay that have sold in your area. Some vehicles are more highly prized in certain cities (e.g., all-wheel drive in snowy states.) You can access that information when you look through past sales on eBay listings.

Create Your Listing

Once you have the information, you’ll want to place a price on your vehicle, and then set the terms of sale. There is no bidding for cars on eBay, regardless of how you sell it. Be specific about your vehicle, and don’t leave anything out. Misrepresenting your car could violate eBay’s rules of selling. For example, you may list your car at $1,000 with no negotiations and no returns, but you’ll need to detail the information you do and don’t know first. Once the sale process begins, be as active as possible on the listing. Answer questions, update the information, and potentially reconsider your pricing if you aren’t having any luck. It would also be wise to take traffic school a defensive driving course to dismiss tickets before you sell. Once you sell, you’ll need to work out the delivery and pick-up times with the buyer.

Focus on Local

You can sell nation-wide on eBay, but you’ll likely want to sell locally instead. Local listings are sold on their classified site, which works very much like Craigslist or your local newspaper. eBay will not take a cut of the sale prices, though you will be limiting the amount of people who see your ad (those within a 200-mile radius.) Listing nationally will not only cost you, but it makes it a lot more likely you’ll run into delivery and pick-up problems. If you do choose to sell nationally, you’ll pay $60 to eBay if your car sells for less than $2,000, and $125 for anything over $2,000. You will not have to pay the fee if the car isn’t sold, and will be able to relist it quickly for a different price should you so choose. The fees and the number of pictures you can upload are still more reasonable than many of the other online forms of sale.

Pokemon Go Road

Pokémon Go aka PokemonGo, is all the craze! It has been released in several countries and was released in the United States on July, 6, 2016. In case you are not sure what Pokémon Go is – it’s a free game that one can play on their Android and IOS devices. The object of the game is to locate and capture Pokémon creatures, of which there are only a mere 742 species. Players can also train and battle the Pokémon for extra points. This game can be played alone or with a group of people.

Some people are even driving to different states to find these Pokémon. If you are planning on being one of these new traveling Pokémon Go players and spending endless hours driving from state to state or even city, here are few fun facts to consider:

Where Can You Find Pokémon?
They are literately everywhere from your bathroom to Cinderella’s Castle at Disney World. In North Carolina a minor league baseball team opened up their field and charged people five dollars to come in and find a newer released Pokémon.

Most Popular Places Pokémon are Showing up

People are finding Pokémon in other people’s backyards (careful, that’s trespassing), in hospital rooms, sitting at the bottom of their bed (now that’s just creepy), and it can get you in a heaping pile of trouble with your wife if she is in labor and you’re chasing a virtual creature around the room. The most popular places people have shared their Pokémon finds however, include:

• Sitting on a urinal in a men’s bathroom
• Hoovering over a cup of coffee in a dinner
• Sitting on a plate of food in a fine restaurant
• In a mural in NYC
• Standing on church steps
• On subway platforms
• In a baby’s crib standing next to her

Over-the-Top Places Pokémon are Being Found

• Standing on a casket at a funeral (Really people?! Who whips out their phone and plays a game at a funeral?)
• In cemeteries (Great place to be wandering around in the dark, careful you don’t fall in one of the newly shoveled ditches)
• Holocaust Museum (Wee bit disrespectful)
• Dance Clubs and Bars (ya, you’re not getting that Pokémon unless you’re at least 21)
• 9/11 Memorial (PokeStop)
• In family swimming pools (That could pose a danger for young players)

PokeStops
Pokémon players are driving all over the country to PokeStops to capture these elusive little creatures. A PokeStop is a popular place such as a mall, historical monument, popular get-away, even a police station.
These are just a very, very few places people are not finding the Pokémon. While it is just a game, some people are worried… like the police. Pedestrians have walked out in front of cars; people have trespassed, and people have been robbed. Yes, hackers/robbers were found setting up GPS coordinates and preying on unsuspecting players to walk into their web.

The police are also upset that people have been playing while driving, which has proven to be very devastating. Players have already driven their cars into trees, other cars and buildings while playing the game. California has had its fair share of accidents caused by people playing Pokémon, which means CA traffic school is going to be packed!
Pokémon is being called the greatest game in US history, but it’s hard to say if that is actually a “good thing.” What do you think?

Urgent.ly

The sharing economy has obviously done very well in certain sectors, so it’s no surprise see the concept applied to a number of other services. Uber and AirBnB may have cornered ride-sharing and vacation rentals, but there’s definitely more that can benefit from this model. Could we see a road service app become the next big success?

Urgent.ly is an app and website where you can input minimal information (seriously, it’s just your name and car model) and then receive roadside assistance quickly. It’s meant to be like Uber in that you hit the request button then receive help. They’re not meant to do full-scale repairs obviously on the side of the road, but if you need gas, a tow or managed to locked yourself out, then you’ve got a friend in them. They advertise their rates are actually lower than the most popular roadside assistance membership (they conveniently leave out the name) because they charge flat fees as opposed to hiding them in other costs. Also, they have the location sensors which pick up where you are based on your phone, something that other groups haven’t quite managed to accomplish. Considering it can be difficult to tell someone your exact location, this is definitely a sellable feature.

Can it really succeed though? How many service technicians want to drive around all day, every day just waiting for someone to contact them? This company actually does seem to give quite a large percentage of its fees directly to its drivers. If a customer is paying $75 for a battery replacement, the driver would get $50 after the repair. Contractors would need the volume before they wanted to participate which is difficult to accomplish if no one knows who you are. Uber has worked, in part, because it allows people with a certain set of skills to start making money on their own terms. The current climate of the workforce has eliminated a lot of different types of jobs, and seems to require a more specific set of skills every day. Services like Uber and Lyft help take the talent of drivers everywhere and give it back to the community to combat drunk driving and overcrowding on the road. Drivers are excited to not only see instant rewards for what they’re doing but also being given the freedom to make their own schedule. Choice in the workplace has become extremely valuable to people as well, and it can definitely apply to Urgent.ly’s drivers too.

The app also allows you to pay for friends or family to receive services. It can also track the repairs so you see what’s going on, and where people are in real time. If there’s some type of accident, it can detect the collision and then send out alerts to your loved ones to so people are kept in the loop.

So, let’s look at the reviews for more answers. Urgent.ly does not run in every area of the US, but those who have tried it seem to genuinely be impressed with its efficiency. This bodes well for how they’re organizing everything over there, and the potential the company has to increase its locations and user base. They do not appear to discriminate against cars, being able to service any make or model. The very few negative reviews we came across unsurprisingly had to do with wait times and sometimes users felt the services were overpriced. However, it is worth remembering that over time, it could work out to be a much better rate if you consistently pay for membership dues you never end up using.

The bottom line here is this is definitely an entirely acceptable option for receiving roadside assistance. Staying safe means having as many options available to you at your fingertips. You likely already know a defensive driving course can make the difference between points on your license and a higher car insurance bill, but did you know it may be able to lower your insurance even if you’ve had no run-ins with the cops?

Mobile Apps to Prevent a DUI

After an amazing night out on the town, nothing is worse than seeing those strobing blue disco lights in your rear view mirror. Immediately, you may think of going to jail, spending thousands of dollars, and the embarrassment associated with getting a DUI. However, not everyone is so fortunate. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 10,000 deaths or one death every 51 minutes in 2012 was attributed to alcohol-related accidents. In any case, it’s important to do everything within your power to drink responsibly and never get behind the wheel if you are intoxicated. If you are like most people and have a hard time determining when to say when, there’s an app for that. The following information explains five different smartphone apps designed to prevent drunk driving and help you arrive to your destination safely.

DrinkTracker

DrinkTracker is an app designed to estimate your blood alcohol concentration (BAC). In order to use the app, you must input each drink you consume. Based on the number of drinks consume and your profile information, such as age, gender, weight, and height, the app presents a real-time estimation of your BAC. You can set a target BAC that estimates the amount of time necessary for your BAC to drop to the target level. DrinkTracker also integrates the Map function on your smartphone to provide commuting instructions or directions home. DrinkTracker includes easy access to your most trusted contacts in the event you have had too much to drink and need a ride home. The true downside to DrinkTracker is that it requires you input the number of drinks you consume manually, which can be difficult if you are in a seemingly engaging conversation and have had a few drinks.

Have A Plan

Before you engage in any type of risky behavior, such as drinking, you should always have a plan. As the name suggests, the Have A Plan app helps you with this schema. This app requires you to input a list of numbers and names you would contact in the event you are too drunk to drive. The Have A Plan app also includes a feature called “Get a Ride”, which utilizes GPS to locate and even contact the nearest taxi service. The app also includes reflex testing games, a BAC estimator, and several vital myths and facts about DUI situations.

BreathalEyes

Since your eyes are the windows to your soul, they can also serve as an indicator of whether you are too impaired to drive. While other apps use rough estimates, this app is designed to be a little more scientific. BreathalEyes uses your smartphone’s camera to scan your eyes for Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN). HGN is a type of involuntary eye movement that is commonly used to determine whether you are under the influence of alcohol. BreathalEyes claims to be a relatively reliable estimate of your BAC within a range of .02%-.20%.

Uber

Over the last few years, Uber has emerged as one of the premier ways to get around, which makes the Uber app one of the best ways to avoid a DUI. The app allows you to quickly contact a driver to take you to your desired location. Best of all, Uber accepts a huge variety of payment options like credit cards, Google Wallet, or even PayPal.

Breathometer

Instead of relying on estimates, Breathometer is your very own convenient pocket breathalyzer. Breathometer works by connecting an external devices to your smartphone either wirelessly or through the audio jack. After you blow into the external attachment, the app will tell you BAC. In addition, it will let you know how long it will take you to get back to sober or zero. The app includes a “Get Home Safe” option that allows you to contact Uber car service, a taxi, or reach out to your most trusted contacts. The “Stay Nearby” function allows you to find establishments, hotels, and restaurants that are still open, so you can take a little extra time to sober up.

A DUI can wreak havoc on your life in more ways than one, including increased insurance rates and points on your license. If you have received a DUI or traffic ticket, you may also be required to complete traffic school as a part of your case. On the other hand, many drivers choose to enroll in traffic school voluntarily because not only can the course help you keep your driving record clean, but several car insurance providers offer discounts for completing traffic school.

bmw gopro integration

The GoPro camera has captured those impossible to film moments for action enthusiast with the smooth quality of a much more expensive piece of equipment. GoPro is not just for the athletic though, many automakers are integrating GoPro features into the newer models. And Volkswagen is giving a GoPro to each customer who buys a new model of their latest car. BMW and GoPro have gotten together to develop an app for the BMW and Mini that owners of newer model BMWs can download to control the GoPro from inside the car.

Required for installation is a newer model BMW (2012 and up) with the Infotainment system, a GoPro camera with Wi-fi, and the iPhone app integrated with the BMW vehicle. Once these requirements have been met, users can control their GoPro through iDrive, with simplified menus, and incredible ease of use. Some say that BMW’s integration is not as nice as Corvettes’ with the same camera, however it is up for personal judgment. Perhaps GoPro integration will become as standard in new vehicles as the radio is.

Even those unwilling to take risks can experience the adrenaline rush vicariously through GoPro, but beware these videos are not for the faint of heart. If you have captured an awesome action shot with a GoPro, or are more the couch enthusiast type scroll down for moments captured with a GoPro that are sure to take your breath away.
