There will always be some obscure road that will be missed. Thank you for updating our data on Virginia State Route 267, also known as the “Dulles Greenway.” We’ll pass this on to Fox News, who didn’t have that road in their list either.

“Chicago Skyway — a 7.8-mile toll road connecting the Dan Ryan Expressway to the Indiana Tollway, costing drivers a whopping $.46 per mile. The tolled express lanes in downtown Denver, Colo. come in second, costing $.29 cents a mile. The Delaware John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway comes in third, costing approximately $.23 cents per mile.

The priciest non-interstate toll roads include New York’s Whiteface Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway at stunning $3.11 per mile, the Prospect Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway in New York at $1.01, the Fort Bend Parkway Extension in Texas at $.59 and Colorado’s scenic Pike’s Peak toll road where the average cost is $.53 per mile for a passenger vehicle.”

Neither did “The Richest” list it in their top 10 at http://www.therichest.com/luxury/most-expensive/pay-ahead-the-most-expensive-toll-roads-in-america/

I’m sure their research department will appreciate this addition.

And while I realize Wikipedia isn’t considered the best resource, there seems to be a comprehensive list, and that is where we found this particular toll road. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_toll_roads_in_the_United_States

A commute on the 14 mile tollway during rush hour can add up to $5.60. (Two Axle Vehicles) Vehicles with additional axles, and the toll increases on the Greenway. Believe it or not, if the mileage rate for the Greenway was applied to the Pennsylvania Turnpike, a one way trip on the entire length could cost $126. Seriously, you should have researched better.
