Hi Alina,
It will be at least, a minimum of $634. Be sure to sign up for traffic school if the ticket allows it – it will save you from having the points go on your record and have your insurance rates SOAR. https://course.myimprov.com/Registration/ARegistration2.aspx?s=6&r=1&trial=false&tr=0

The courts and DMV in California do not delete, clear, erase, wipe, or dismiss citations upon completion of a traffic violator school. The citation is considered a confidential conviction and is masked or hidden by the DMV, so it cannot be seen by anyone other than the DMV or court (insurance companies, and/or employers are not able to view these on your driving record). Points are also not issued for these convictions.

The conviction is only kept on file by the DMV to make sure a defendant cannot attend Traffic School more than once within an 18 month period.

Hi Calvin, that seems right if you were driving in a construction zone. Is that true?

Hi Arlene, You can take CA Traffic School once every 18 months. So, if you have not taken traffic school in the last year and a half, you should be able to take it now. Make sure you pay the traffic school admin fee along with the court fine when you pay your ticket. Call Improv Traffic School any time if you have questions. Representatives are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week: 800-660-8908. -Debbie

I have 4 points already on my record. Two points will be removed in October 2018 and January 2019. Do you know if i will still be offered Traffic School?

I understand I need to contact the court, but i am asking based on past experiences or if anyone knows?

Hi Jose, because you were going 40 miles over the speed limit – the officer may have determined you were driving at a “reckless” speed. You will have have to wait until you get the ticket in the mail to see how much the fine will be and also to find out if you can take traffic school to help lower the fee or to prevent points for going on your ticket. I only advice I can give you is to check your mailbox frequently to make sure you open and read the information on your ticket immediately to avoid other consequences.
